Friends and readers, I am trying something new! I am publishing my horror anthology series ‘Chapters in the Nameless Book’ on a new platform, ‘Kindle Vella’. Vella is an Amazon platform that is designed for serial storytelling, with short episodes being released on a regular basis, weekly in the case of my story.

EDIT: As excited as I am for this project, on 10/28 Amazon announced they were discontinuing ‘Kindle Vella’ as of February 2025, so I will continue adding episodes through November but then I will find another way to publish ‘Chapters in the Nameless Book’

What is it about? Throughout history The Nameless Book has lured the curious with promises of fame, magic, and untold power. The Nameless Book holds the key to distant worlds, miracles, and magics untold – but it also holds a dark and deadly secret: those who unlock the book open the gates to unspeakable horrors. Follow The Nameless Book – and it’s victims – from modern day Chicago to the French Revolution to ancient Egypt and far beyond.

I am publishing a new complete story – a ‘Chapter’ about The Nameless Book – every month, split into four parts, with a new episode every Thursday. And don’t worry about running out – I’ve got almost a year’s worth of stories ready to go already for this project, and they’re all fully edited, high quality tales.

How much does it cost? I know books are getting costly, but Kindle Vella is very inexpensive! You get the first TEN episodes for free – with ‘Chapters in the Nameless Book’ that’s almost three full stories. After that, Vella uses tokens to continue reading, and right now that costs under $1.50 for ten more episodes, so that’s five full individual stories for under a buck and a half!

Why am I doing this? I’ve been writing ‘Chapters in the Nameless Book’ stories for well over a year now, and I really like this anthology format, but I’ve had a lot of trouble getting it to people. I found Kindle Vella and I feel like it’s the perfect platform for this kind of storytelling – it’s easy to publish, widely available, and easy to read on a variety of devices.
