‘Merry Creepsmas’ was last years’ holiday horror anthology from Wicked Shadow Press, but due to their unexpected hiatus it has now been released in the deep chill of February. There’s still snow on the ground here, so it still counts.
‘Merry Creepsmas’ is a two-volume set of fantastic holiday horror, ‘The Red Book’ and ‘The Green Book’. From blood-soaked snow to ancient yuletide terrors, MERRY CREEPSMAS takes readers on a journey inspired by centuries of dark Christmas folklore. Krampus, the Yule Cat, and twisted versions of beloved holiday figures emerge from the shadows, while contemporary tales of yuletide horror transform familiar festive settings into landscapes of fear. These aren’t the holiday stories you grew up with—they’re the ones your parents were afraid to tell you.
My story, ‘T’was the Night Before Madness’, is featured in ‘The Red Book’ – it’s a dark, weird horror retelling of the classic holiday poem that inspires it’s name. Instead of jolly Saint Nick, this family is confronted by nightmare creatures and bloody holiday horrors.
