‘Abandoned Altars’, the first anthology from Signus Magnolia Collective!

Signus Magnolia Collective is an international group of horror writers and artists united by a shared passion for the macabre. Together, we’ve established a small press dedicated to publishing horror by those who live and breathe the genre, for readers who crave it. Our first release, Abandoned Altars, is a testament to this collaborative spirit and the result of extraordinary work by our editor, Joshua Vise, and our visionary designer and artist, Cliff Hansen.

Abandoned Altars explores a haunting question: what happens when faith is cast aside? What are the consequences—spiritual, psychological, and supernatural—when belief systems crumble? This anthology ventures into the shadowed recesses of lost faith, with each story offering a unique and unsettling perspective on what fills the void left behind.

My contribution, A Question of Faith, draws on echoes of my Catholic upbringing to tell a dark and truly horrifying tale. It examines the slow erosion of devout belief and the bloody, buried truths that can surface in its absence.
